Henry is available for adoption at the West Los Angeles Animal ShelterThey Named Me “Henry”

ID# A1316308

Henry is a spectacular dog in every sense of the word.  His one blue eye makes you look twice and his sweet, gentle personality adds to his charm.  Henry is a 5 year old, neutered American Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Siberian Husky mix.  He weighs 65 pounds. Henry was originally adopted from the shelter several years ago and was returned by his owners due to relocation and personal issues.

Henry is described as a wonderful dog who loves to be with people and is good with other dogs but does not like cats.  Volunteers who have spent time with him describe him as a great dog who is a pleasure to handle.  He walks and runs with his person.  He knows basic commands of Sit, Down and Paw and loves to get treats.

Henry is calm walking through the kennel and was good when he met another dog.  He is housebroken and is okay in a crate.

Henry showed signs of separation anxiety with his previous owner.  He was fine when he was with his people but did not do well when left alone.  Crate-training will not be a problem for him and should help with the separation anxiety.  This is a dog who loves people ands wants to be with people.  He was taken to work by his owner and did beautifully.  He needs people in his life and the kind of lifestyle that will allow that.

Henry is an outstanding dog…not only is he beautiful to look at, but he has a loving, sweet personality.  Please help Henry find the right home.  When contacting the shelter for more information about Henry, be sure to use his ID# A1316308 as a reference.  Photo/video credit:  Debbie Fan, Twitter @blackjackbarks
