Maggie is available for adoption at the West Los Angeles Animal Shelter"Maggie" Needs a Home!

She belonged!  Once she was part of the family, but when they decided to move, they left her behind.  Maggie was brought to the West Los Angeles Animal Shelter on August 31, 2013.  Maggie is an 8 year old, unaltered female, tan and white American Staffordshire Terrier mix.  She weighs 75 pounds.

The shelter is a scary place on this gentle, sweet dog.  She has only known family and now she is surrounded by unfamiliar sounds and people.  Maggie's previous owner described her as friendly and okay in the car and on-leash.

At the shelter, the volunteers have found Maggie to be very gentle but timid.   She walks very well on-leash and does not pull at all.  She warms up slowly and then becomes very engaging and interacts well with people.  She knows Sit and loves to get treats.  Maggie is housebroken.  She was tested with other dogs at the shelter and did very well.

Maggie is a gentle soul who needs a family.  She has always been with people, and she loves people.  Please don't let the shelter be the last home that Maggie will ever know.  Please help her find her forever home.

When contacting the shelter for more information about Maggie, be sure to use her ID# A1420873 as a reference.  Photo/video credit:  Debbie Fan, Twitter @blackjackbarks
